Jared Olsen is the Founder and Managing Partner of Olsen Legal Group, LLC, an innovative and successful law practice in the heart of beautiful downtown Cheyenne, Wyoming. His legal practice focuses on providing personalized and extensive trust and will-centered estate plans for individuals and families all over Wyoming. He is a WealthCounsel Member and is affiliated with the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils. Jared also assists clients with business organization and formation needs, including non-profits, corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.

Jared is a State Senator for Senate District 8, representing Cheyenne in the Wyoming Legislature. In his capacity as a Senator, he is the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee and a member of the Senate Education Committee. Jared also serves as a member of the Select Committee on Blockchain and Financial Technology. Prior to being elected to the Wyoming Senate, Jared served as a Representative for House District 11 in the Wyoming House of Representatives from 2016-2024. From 2021-2022 he served as the Majority Whip of the House of Representatives, at the time making him the 4th ranking Republican in the House. Jared served as the Chairman of the House Corporations, Elections, and Political Subdivisions Committee. He also served on the House Rules Committee. Previously, Jared served as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee and Co-Chairman of the Select Committee on Blockchain and Financial Technology. Jared also served on the House Appropriations Committee, Blockchain Task Force, Governor's Residence Working Group, Court Security Commission, Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision, and NCSL - Law and Criminal Justice Committee.

Jared is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cheyenne Classical Academy. He is also a founding member of the school. Cheyenne Classical Academy is a tuition free public charter school with a mission to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a classical, content-rich education in the liberal arts and sciences with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue in an orderly and disciplined environment that emphasizes virtuous living, traditional learning and civic responsibility.

Jared is a proud graduate of the University of Wyoming College of Law. He also received his Master of Public Administration from the University of Wyoming and his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Weber State University.

Jared is a 2019 recipient of the Wyoming Business Report 40 under 40 award and the Greater Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce's Business Advocate of the Year Award. In 2018 Jared was awarded the Bipartisan Achievement Award from the Hazlitt Policy Center for legislation he authored, nearly repealing Wyoming's death penalty.

Prior to founding Olsen Legal Group, Jared practiced law for a small Cheyenne firm devoted exclusively to family law litigation. There he represented Wyoming families all across the state in various family law matters and gained unmatched family law expertise that he has now passed down to the family law attorneys at Olsen Legal Group. Prior to that, Jared worked for several years at Hirst Applegate, LLP as a civil defense litigator representing our trucking, mineral, and banking industries.

He served as Chairman of the Laramie County Republican Party from 2015 to 2017. From 2018-2019, Jared was the Vice Chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party and a State Committeeman for the Laramie County Republican Party. He served as an executive member of the Budget and Audit Committee of the Wyoming Republican Party, and is a past Financial Officer at Cheyenne First Baptist Church. He has a civically engaged background having participated in local organizations such as Rotary International, the Cheyenne Chamber of Commerce, the Housing and Community Development Advisory Council for the City of Cheyenne. Jared is an active and proud member of Cheyenne Lodge No. 1 AF&AM, CheyenneYork Rite, and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite - Valley of Cheyenne through which he serves in various leadership positions. He is a member of the Laramie County and Wyoming Bar Associations and is a member of the prestigious Southeast Wyoming Estate Planning Council, an affiliate of the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils.

Above all else, Jared is a devoted husband and father. Jared and his wife, Dani, have three beautiful and bright children - Eden, Noah, and Abel. As a father and a husband, he deeply understands the importance of family which is why protecting your family is his number one goal.
